While side-lined by Covid-19 and not being able to actually play golf, I remembered an idea I had some time ago – What lessons could historical characters teach about the game of golf? Even if you had to just imagine that they played….mmm. So here’s quite an obvious one:-
1. Getting out of bunkers alive – by Adolf Hitler

During his lifetime there was no relief in the rules. It took the R&A until 2019 to add rule 19.3b, which would have allowed Adolf to drop outside the bunker for a 2 stroke penalty….I’m sure he would have grasped that one with both hands!
